During the 70s, Bulgaria saw the biggest number of radio clubs in the country before later television and Internet became the major source of information.Ĭurrently, no global organisation of the radio listeners exists but there are four organisations, which unite groups of DX clubs. After that the club was officially registered and later called “Rodno Radio.” By the end of the 20th centuries a number of radio clubs were established and closed, as during WWII the number of radio clubs decreased significantly. The first meeting of radio enthusiasts in Bulgaria took place in 1926. With the invention of the radio the first listeners’ clubs appeared exchanging experience and knowledge in the sphere of radio transmission.
